The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the first time ever World Cup cricket was played in the USA. The tournament was the biggest T20 World Cup to date, with 20 teams and 55 games across the USA and West Indies. Venues in Grand Prairie (TX), Broward County (FL) and a purpose built temporary stadium in Nassau County (NY), constructed in less than 4 months, hosted 16 fixtures from June 1 – June 16. The largest crowd in USA history for international cricket was recorded when India played Pakistan (34,028). A series of 8 fixtures in Nassau was closed out with a true celebration of cricket between India and USA (31,722). Almost 165,000 people attended games in New York, with 190,000 fans experiencing World Cup Cricket for the first time in the USA across the three venues.
