I am a recent graduate in Mathematics from Binghamton University. Oddly enough, my fascination with data began after watching the movie “Moneyball” seeing a business succeed utilizing data to outperform expectations. I realized how impactful data analysis can be and sought to learn more about this topic.Through my coursework at Binghamton University, I’ve gotten to work with a lot of data. I’ve learned data visualization through several programming languages. Using pandas/seaborn in Python, ggplot2 in R, and graph making in Excel. I’ve also learned how to clean data using Pandas in Python and dplyr in R. Another skill I developed came from a deep learning class, which taught us how to implement and train state of the art machine learning algorithms. In a few crash courses I received certificates in Tableau, Excel, and SQL. We created dashboards and analyzed large datasets using several techniques in each language to earn a certificate. I am also taking online data analyst simulations on forage which simulate an average day of work for a data analyst at specific companies and I receive a certificate.
