Working as a product engineering intern, I provided technical customer services via email and phone for custom projects. My main responsibilities included:- Recommending actuator systems based on customer requirements.- Troubleshooting with customers to determine the cause of failure and develop a resolution.- Processing sales orders via email (PO's) and phone.- Inspecting and troubleshooting the externals and internals of units when processing Return Merchandise Orders.The most valuable skills developed from the aforementioned responsibilities were communication, customer service, conflict deescalation, multi-tasking, and stress management.I also gained a significant amount of understanding of electric linear actuators (specifications, internal components, compatibility concerns, etc.) and various applications/industries that use linear actuators.
