Working as a product engineering intern, I provided technical customer services via email and phone for custom projects. My main responsibilities included:- Recommending actuator systems based on customer requirements.- Troubleshooting with customers to determine the cause of failure and develop a resolution.- Processing sales orders via email (PO's) and phone.- Inspecting and troubleshooting the externals and internals of units when processing Return Merchandise Orders.The most valuable skills developed from the aforementioned responsibilities were communication, customer service, conflict deescalation, multi-tasking, and stress management.I also gained a significant amount of understanding of electric linear actuators (specifications, internal components, compatibility concerns, etc.) and various applications/industries that use linear actuators.

Some of my achievements during my two years as the president of BCIT CSME was organizing the inaugural annual Industry Night (which hosted 15+ companies and 200+ students each year), increasing club membership from 10 to 180, and establishing a well supported by students, faculty, and the Student Association to help continue the growth of the club in the coming years.Responsibilities included: - Supervising all event coordination - Developing and maintaining industry relationships - Promoting good moral within CSME - Encouraging future mechanical engineers at BCIT to take initiative

As part of a free service to BCIT students, I help them develop key study skills and deeper understandings of their courses.

I developed a fundamental understanding of the manufacturing aspect of mechanical engineering. Daily exposure to CNC machines, part drawings, QC, etc., allowed me to constantly think about how parts were designed. It also allowed me to criticize efficient processes of creating a part from designing to machining.As a shop helper, I wore as many hats as possible.- Operator (milling & turning)- Prepping stock (automatic saw)- Detail finishing (polishing, buffing, deburring, etc.)- Shipping
