During my initial trimester on campus, Brett served as the teaching assistant (TA) for Data Analysis, one of the most academically rigorous courses at Thunderbird. Brett was a tireless TA and he met with me on multiple occasions outside of his scheduled office hours to assist with concepts and course content. As a testament to Brett’s unselfish desire to help other people, he was selected by the student body to receive the Presidential Circle Award, an honor that is bestowed upon the student in each graduating class who made the most positive impact upon the academic experience of his peers. Brett received an equally prestigious award from the Thunderbird faculty. As the recipient of the Barton Kyle Yount Award, Brett was recognized as the student who best exemplified the principles of the school’s founder by working to improve the school, its programs and its brand. Brett also received the Alfred Knight Award, an honor given to the student in each graduating class with the highest GPA. Brett is the only student of whom I am aware that has received all three awards upon graduation from Thunderbird. In a professional capacity, I have had the privilege of working with Brett to manage the Campus Ambassador program, a student-led organization that serves to disseminate knowledge about Thunderbird to prospective students, campus visitors and alumni. Over a two-year period, I watched as Brett developed innovative best practices to guide the organization and improve recruitment initiatives at the university. He managed more than 60 people with ease and assisted with the development of a codified set of standards to ensure organizational professionalism and accountability. Brett was an exemplary Campus Ambassador and a role model for future members of the Campus Ambassador Leadership Team. As a man, Brett is generous, kind and honest. He freely speaks his mind and his morality and integrity are unquestionable. As a professional, Brett Davis is cut from the same cloth as the most elite business executives.
