· Provide training and mentoring of new hires in the use of department equipment including forklift, pallet inverter, barrel movers, and stretch wrap machine as well standard shipping/issuance/receiving/stock operations.· Ensure the warehouse is kept in a safe and orderly state, and report all damage and/or unsafe practices using prescribed protocol.· Assist warehouse management in obtaining data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered, as well as the creation of reports, records and directives to improve efficiencies throughout the warehouse.· Attend daily operations meetings for upcoming activities and priorities.· Schedule warehouse staff to ensure that all warehouse obligations are met daily.· Perform investigations for all inventory discrepancies as well as train warehouse staff on investigations techniques.· Train warehouse staff on the dispositioning of obsolete materials.· Facilitate and schedule the daily transports of materials to/from all offsite facilities.· Participate in ordering and purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.· Support material handlers as required.· Perform necessary trips to other Tolmar facilities as needed.· Hazardous waste involvement may include, but is not limited to making waste determinations, waste packaging, container and tank management and inspection, and transfer of hazardous waste to and from storage. Respond to spills per CP 030-0202 Chemical Spill Response.· Hazwoper, IATA, and DOT certified.
