IT Manager leads and develops the direction of IT in line with the school’s business and curriculum plan. Some of the key responsibilities of the IT manager are to:• Provides advice to the Principal, Business Manager and e-Learning Coordinator in IT strategic development;• Approves and monitors major projects, IT budgets, priorities, standards, procedures; • Oversights the performance of IT services; • Approve vendors used by the school and monitor their responding performance; • Valuates periodically how current systems are meeting the needs of the learning and teaching• Reallocate IT resource adequately; • Reviews and coordinates IT co-workers to pursue excellence; • Acts as the main point of contact on all IT-related services including coordinating priorities and communicating with domain leaders to identify and evaluate alternative solutions; • Support IT co-workers to their on-going skill development;

The role of a Specialist Technician in the (TSSP) program is to take the lead role in day to day network administration in government schools as well as provide support and advice on planning and implementation of ICT infrastructure and devices, staff professional development and hardware/software procurement advice to key stakeholders.
