Acquired invaluable experience taking critical meteorological observations in one of the most chaotic meteorological environments on the planet. Interacted with the public daily, explaining the function of a variety of instruments and the mission we pursue to strive for a better understanding of our climatic environment. Conducted extensive data entry for the B-16 project which digitizes crucial data from the past 80 years. Contributed assisting the observers in maintaining the equipment and ensuring proper functionality. Developed weather radio broadcasts for the higher summits and valley regions and forecasted for these areas for several days out.

Assisted the Chief Meteorologist with forecast preparation that included weather graphics and remaining in close contact with viewers via social media and email. Forecasted for several days out and acquired invaluable forecasting knowledge from the Chief which included a detailed understanding of the mesoscale effects of convergent banding concerning lake effect snow. Worked extensively with WSI Max and other NWS products to determine a quality/accurate forecast. Acquired skills and techniques in front of the green screen with the help of the Chief Meteorologist.
