Served as manager for teams supporting the back-end real-time transaction processing systems for TeleCheck, consisting of roughly 45 Oracle database instances running on Solaris, AIX and OpenVMS. Collaborated with the various business units within TeleCheck to design and implement DR/BCP plans meeting RTO/RPO requirements, ensuring business continuity in the event of a disaster at the TeleCheck data center. During this time, transaction-processing per-second requirements increased by 30%, but licensing costs were maintained at a flat level by coordinating tuning efforts between the architects, DBAs and developers to address inefficiencies in the design.
