I performed chemical, physical, biological, and bacteriological analyses of the city's waste water and drinking water. Set up and calibrate lab equipment and perform minor maintenance when needed. I analyze trends in data to identify problems that are/may occur with the treatment plant and recommend changes to operators. Prepare reagents, chemical solutions, bacteriological media. Collect samples and prepare them for testing, transport, or storage. Wash, clean and sterilize glassware and bacteriological samples. Using the city's computer systems I enter lab data results and document trends both used for the operators and for audit data. I also maintain open communication with plant operators, mechanics, and other technicians to ensure the best quality of treatment to the water. Also, assist in certain testing for industrial waste samples.

While working for the department I was responsible for maintaining the state and facility standards for the 188 inmates in the jail. I personally saw over these 188 inmates and cared for they well-being and being the first to respond medical emergencies. It was also very important to keep good employee relations and work as a team to complete tasks. As a Deputy Sheriff I also worked directly with the public and interacted with them daily, through this I developed great communication skills. We also had to be proficient with typing, grammar, and spelling for our reports that we typed daily and testified for court with. I also investigated crimes that occurred in the jail and did the appropriate report for the appropriate crime or incident.

While in the Marines I was a crew chief on a multi-million dollar vehicle. As a non-comishioned officer it was my duty to look after the well-being of the Marines under my care. I looked after their physical and mental health, their financial responsibility, relationships, and would also do counseling. I also coordinated training for multiple Marines with close quarter combat which is a task that requires immense attention to detail and the ability to calm and slow the mind during a stressful situations to make effective and appropriate decisions. Before getting out of the Marines I also worked for the career planner, and was the Unit Transition Counselor. In that billet I was responsible for creating and maintaining files for the current year and the two previous which required immense detail and accuracy being they are federal contracts . I was also trained in various computer systems. As the Unit Transition Counselor it was job to help Marines transition into the civilian life, I did this by utilizing great communication skills to address root problems that they might be having.
