Performed a study of invasive plants at gas and oil wells in the northcentral lower peninsula.

Duties included being the primary person handling soil erosion applications, making site reviews, and permit determinations, along with handling zoning issues on behalf of the county. Was the department's representative to the county Zoning Board of Appeals, and assisted the county to review and update the entire zoning ordinance.

Spent two seasons (July to October) capturing, banding and tracking ruffed grouse for a mortality study.
