My teams projects met customer expectations 95%+ and came in within budget 90% of the time with team engagement scores over 80%.My second role was as business manager and included annual budget planning, sales and operating profit forecasts, rate setting, business metrics, monthly actual cost tracking, facility and resource planning. Division metrics of 98% forecast accuracy and 10%+ efficiency gains were met.

NPI manager for CAT Hauling transmissions programs, where I was responsible for leading multi functional teams to define program/customer requirements, product strategy, project/program value (NPV), concept designs, simulation, development, manufacturing process, supplier development, cost, quality and schedule. Responsibilities also included providing regular formal presentations on program status, issues & resolution, budget, schedule and program readiness. I was one of the first NPI managers for the component teams in CAT, helping to create the process for defining requirements, program value, concepts, issue tracking, DFMEA, APQP and product cost analysis. During my time as NPI manager, my teams successfully introduced 10 new transmission platforms into production at cost, on budget/schedule and at quality over programs that lasted 2-3 years.

As a development engineer at the Peoria & Tucson proving grounds, I was responsible for performing small and large scale structures tests. These tests included strain gauge testing and modal survey techniques to define a structures fatigue life, frequency, mode shapes and damping.Developed acceptance criteria for analysis and simulation to help reduce development iterations. These efforts helped to reduced development iterations by 2-3x in many cases.

Performed finite element analysis of both large and light fabricated structures with an emphasis on dynamics and vibration. Created and became the first structural validation systems engineer with responsibility for end to end validation planning of Track Type Tractor structures. This included the planning and execution of analysis, simulation and test of structures. Introduction of higher fidelity analysis routines focused on structure response vs excitation forces vs fatigue helped to reduce development iterations by 1/3.
