Research on the cost-benefit of quality assurance mechanisms (i.e., certification) within potato and common bean seed industries in East Africa. Collected qualitative data through key stakeholder interviews along the potato seed value chain, as part of a CGIAR-led study of vegetatively propagated crop seed systems.Conducted quantitative data collection and analysis of potato seed systems in Kenya to measure the role of institutions and information systems on farmer's willingness-to-pay for quality assurance for thesis research.

Craft quarterly reports for USAID on Pakistan Phytosanitary Risk Management projects.Coordinated and led a two-week tour with ten Pakistanis from the government, academic and private sectors along export-focused fruit value chains in South Africa to showcase improved sanitary and phytosanitary practices, with a specific emphasis on pest risk management; included post-activity facilitations with participants. Coordinated and assisted subject matter experts with the facilitation of a week-long workshop with inspection agents from the Ghanaian Plant Protection and Regulatory Services Directorate on improved boarder inspection protocols and policies for high risk commodities.Provided administrative, budgetary, and travel support for a 20+ USAID team working on natural resource management and land tenure and property rights through various USDA mechanisms. Managed interagency agreements between USDA and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), specifically in managing sub-agreements with land grant universities to conduct impact evaluations and assessments on MCC compacts and compact components. Coordinated a two-week mission for four USDA/ERS and USDA/NASS technicians to travel to Benin to conduct an assessment of Benin’s agriculture statics capacity.

Led multi-village research initiative in collaboration with the Institut Sénégalais de Recherches Agricoles (ISRA) on the use of improved genetic seeds for field crops; followed up with technical assistance and consulting.Drafted and executed a USAID Small Project Assistance grant to construct a women’s garden in the refugee village of Samba Yiide to combat child malnutrition and enable 110 women to achieve financial independence. Designed, wrote, and implemented a USAID Feed the Future grant to construct a farmer field school (FFS) in the village of Bema for the Rural Community of Gabou, in the region of Tambacounda. Designed and implemented field and garden plot demonstrations on integrated pest management (IPM), permaculture, agroforestry and conservation agriculture practices with a pilot group consisting of 14 local farmers. Supervised and coordinated Department wide initiatives and development as acting Work Zone Coordinator of Bakel.

Spearheaded and planned a two-week intensive cataract eye clinic with the American NGO Right to Sight and Health, the Senegalese Department of Health and the Bakel Sub-Regional Hospital-Optometry Department.Facilitated communication between Right to Sight and Health and various Senegalese officials within government agencies and private organizations.Directed and managed eye clinic operations for five American health professionals, six Senegalese hospital staff and twenty-five volunteers, which performed 180 cataract surgeries on low income patients from Senegal, Mali, and Mauritania.
