About Brian B.
As a young professional, I am looking forward to utilizing the concepts that I have learned to find solutions to new issues that companies struggle with today. My work experiences with a small startup labeling company, a wealth management firm, and a logistics/trucking company – Augusta Label, Morgan Stanley, and Schneider National respectively - have given me insight into how companies’ supply chains are critical to profitability and efficiency. After growing up in Chicago, I came to TCU without knowing anyone, but I thought it was a risk worth taking. Risks like this have allowed me to find my true interests such as my tremendous drive for knowledge and competitiveness. I believe that traits like these, as well as others, like clear communication and the ability to provide effective feedback, are needed to be an productive employee. It was through my volunteer efforts with DuPage County Peer Jury (a juvenile diversion program) that I began to develop my communication skills, and I had continued this in college by joining as a coach for the TCU Professional Development Center (PDC). At the PDC, other coaches and I assisted undergraduate students to develop professional skills needed in the workplace. Through these experiences, not only am I able to help those around me, but I am also able to improve my skills in communicating clearly and providing feedback. Because of my previous experiences and traits, I have been able to start my career at Hub Group, where I am using software like SQL and SAP to create reports that provide valuable information to Hub and allow my coworkers to create better solutions to problems. I look forward to where this opportunity will lead me. Some of my interests are baseball, technology, investing, space, and learning.
