I came up the ranks the old school way, I started as a helper in Bricklayer’s Local Union #7 in 1977. I obtained bricklaying, tuckpointing and caulking skills as well as knowledge pertaining to structural components of a commercial building. In 1981, I joined the Painter’s and Allied Trades (Glazier’s Local Union), where I obtained knowledge and skills for the installation of multiple glazing systems. In 2000, I enrolled into college to refresh my construction management and computer skills where I graduated with honors. In conclusion, I started at as a helper and became a Project Manager/Estimator through actual hands-on field training and college education. With nearly 40 years in construction based primarily in the Division 7 (i.e. dampproofing, waterproofing, sealants, concrete structural repairs, chemical grout, deck and wall coatings), I have built and maintained many relationships in new construction and restoration fields.
