Supervision - Knowledge of leadership techniques, principles and procedures to assign work, schedule, supervise, train, and evaluate the work of assigned staff. Customer Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes meeting established quality standards. Geography— Knowledge of jurisdictional boundaries, thoroughfares, landmarks, public buildings, waterways; and the resources available to determine the location of incidents in the AOR. Judgment and Decision Making – Uses logic and reasoning to analyze, understand, and evaluate complex situations. Physical Security Specialist
Responsibility for the Physical Security, Secure Offices Accreditation, Off Site Programs. Serve as Lock Smith/ Physical Security Specialist, responsibility for planning, operation, installation and logistical activities in lock smith services. Lock work: direct POC for all lock related issues, develop, recommend and implement necessary program changes to meet DOD standards/ goals and objectives; development and training; find ways to improve productivity or increase the quality of the work directed; and/or develop performance standards for the Lock Shop.Physical Security: conducting ongoing analysis to physical security of all controlled areas. Assist with electronic security operations with other related alarm programs (e.g. emergency preparedness plans, and client relations and satisfaction with services provided); perform security assessments; coordinate and conduct inspections of work sites for fulfillment of security. Off Site Program: Work with Directorates and other defense security officials and with various government agencies to ensure effective coordination of physical security issues in DOD-owned and private leased space; provide technical advice and guidance to offices in meeting protection, security schedules and deadlines for regular and priority situations; assist in the coordination and conduct inspections of Off Site Offices/ Worksites for fulfillment of services and security installation maintenance; verify and review security systems installation and maintenance performed.Collateral Duties: Armorer, Supply, IT Custodian; Maintain contracts for weapons and ammunition.Make recommendations regarding the Lock Shop budget, purchases, and cost effective methods/measures and assist the other Division in performing a variety of procurement functions necessary to obtain security related equipment.
