Graphic ArtistGbm Group Plc 1992 - 1994A natural progression from Finished Artist to Graphic Artist was the next step in my career with GBM Group PLC – a merger made up from Characters Typesetting, BBA Studio and GBM. This proved to be an exciting time as all paste up artwork had gone digital which meant I had to re-train and learn new methods. My clients included GUS catalogue where I was responsible for digitizing logos. Another was Volvo, producing press ads of all sizes for all the leading newspapers.

Darkroom TechnicianCharacters Typesetting / Bba Studios 1986 - 1988I joined Characters Typesetting as a junior straight from school. Day to day responsibilities included processing and proofing film to CPN bromide for clients as well as producing prints to size using a camera which enabled the company’s finished artists to produce finished artwork. During my time there I was also tasked with cleaning all font glass grids.
