As the Warehouse Operations Manager my role is to oversee the warehouse and operational functions including logistics and management. Leadership of the supervisors and office staff to ensure a safe environment, healthy workplace, and the fostering of a developmental atmosphere are primary responsibilities.
Store Manager
After successful completion of the Store Manager Training Program in May 2009, I assumed the Store Manager position at Store #2510 Espanola, New Mexico effective July 2009. The location was under performing on many critical metrics. During my tenure in Espanola, the location recognized a sales and profit performance turn around which significantly exceeded goals as well as tremendous gains in employee morale & career development. In September 2010 for personal reasons, I returned to Colorado as an Assistant Store Manager. Since my return to Colorado I have been requested and assigned to three different locations with responsibilities covering Operations as well as all Merchandising segments of the locations. June 2016 I accepted the Store Manager position at our Fountain Colorado store.

Merchandising Manager> Operations Manager> Specialty Manager> Store Manager12/1994 – 01/2009 The Home Depot (General Store Manager) As a Store Manger, I was responsible for all aspects of the operation. Specific immediate responsibilities included Associate Development, Operational efficiency, Profitability, Replenishment,Safety and Procedural Compliance. Succession planning for associates and managers was also a critical role function. The unit maintained a year round staffing level of greater than 100 associates which increased on average >35% in season. Since my assignment to that location, the unit yearly out performed the District and Region on several critical business metrics. (Specialty Manager ) My immediate responsibilities encompassed all Specialty sales areas. These were Installation Services, Floor & Wall, Decor, Plumbing, Kitchen & Bath, Appliances, Millwork, Pro Sales and Deliveries. Associate sales tracking, goal achievement monitoring and creative planning to meet assigned goals were primary responsibilities. The supervision of the entire unit for safety and industry leading customer service were daily roles as well. I functioned as the District Peer for the Specialty areas and as such was a mentor & coach for nine managers. (Operations Manager ) I was responsible for employees in customer service, Tool Rental, and administrative positions. My responsibilities included fostering excellent customer service, profit & loss performance, personnel hiring, associate training & development and compelling support of corporate safety programs and procedures. The auditing and evaluation of all operational areas for efficiency and enhancement as well as peer support for the local stores were also expectations. (Merchandising Manager ) I was responsible for the daily management of over seventy employees fostering excellent customer service, associate training & development and the achievement of departmental sales and profitability goals.
