As principal engineer for cloud operations, I am responsible for teaching new engineers computer science, cloud compute architectures and working with management to increase our uptime, reduce our budget and increase observability. I also provide standards on how to monitor sla,slo and sli information to the business. I also work with full-stack development teams to split applications and migrate to a service based architecture. I also make recommendations on observability best practices and create support architecture for those designs. I also make recommendations on cloud technologies that exist and how to migrate current operations to those new platforms.

I'm currently a principal engineer at Splunk. I'm responsible for creating new software that helps install splunk at a large scale. Current projects include working with several cloud providers and container based solutions to run and install splunk in any configuration.Splunk Inc. I'm currently the lead software engineer in the Applications Management pod of solutions at Splunk. Currently I'm in charge of all applications in the Healthtrans environment. I currently manage over 18 different products, ranging from Splunk for data correlation, to Microsoft Sharepoint for intranet/extranet web services. My unique skill set of Windows/Unix administration has lead to the successful implementation of several different products, redistribution of IT staff and a large increase in cost savings while still reducing our MTTR and increasing our availability.

Manage all running applications across a multi-server environment. Controls release of software updates and manages all application configurations and users. Direct supervisor of the operations department. Controls and manages all server application upgrades.

Support and configure a multi-server environment on AIX. Control all deployments of software applications. Troubleshoot all failed process. Setup automation and script any manual processes currently on the unix environment.

Create vivid 3d representation of tools and anatomy for use of training materials in an Online, E-Learning environment. Create virtual environments using Maya and Solidworks to produce photo-realistic renderings of 3d geometry.
