I'm back in the training department. I'll be training new entry level hires, any internal promotee, distributor reps and outside hires. Between training classes, attending college career fairs will also be part of this position.

In this position I get to be in the sales environment once again. I work out of our distribution center, The Buckeye Cleaning Center, in Maryland Heights. I assist with set appointments and sales calls with our individual Field Sales Representatives. I also get to help maintain existing accounts, help train our newest hires and help our sales representatives with other technical aspects of their positions.

As a Training and Recruiting Manager, I am responsible for participating in college career fairs with our Buckeye Cleaning Centers where our entry level representatives begin. We attend career fairs typically in the spring and the fall. We will recruit individuals from career fairs who will then go through an interview process with our company. When hired, they will spend sixty days in their assigned territories as an entry level Field Sales Representative. We also recruit individuals for our Buckeye International Representative sales positions throughout the country. We use various recruiting resources to look for these individuals. Once hired, we provide our International Representatives with one month of product and procedure training to get them started. In the training department, we also provide all of our representatives with advanced training and leadership development as they progress in their territories.

While working in this outside business to business sales position, it was my responsibility to work with independently owned distributors in their exclusive territories. We will help our distributor sales representatives sell our Buckeye line of branded chemicals to their customers. This position also required training the distributor sales representatives on product demonstration, how to sell the Buckeye product line and improving their selling skills.

As a Field Sales Representative, I made calls on hospitals, nursing homes, veterinary clinics or any customer that was healthcare related in my assigned territory. There was an emphasis on territory growth, integrity, customer service and repeat business.
