I have held several positions during my tenure with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), including Program Officer, Network Coordinator, Program Manager, Senior Program Specialist, and, most recently, as Manager, Portfolio Management and Performance with the Canadian Forest Service (CFS). These positions have allowed me to exercise and demonstrate leadership both with colleagues and with a wide range of external government and non-government organizations domestically and internationally. I value collaboration, innovation and transparency and actively work towards generating a work environment of respect and openness. As one of the senior members within my current division, I provide advice to other staff and actively transfer my knowledge and experiences while also encouraging other staff to share their ideas and participate in strategic processes and project implementation.I have been involved in program activities in developing regions in South and Central America, Asia and the Mediterranean region with additional community-based program delivery experience in northern Europe and Canada. In addition to working with the Canadian Model Forest Network Secretariat and, for the past 12 years, the International Model Forest Network Secretariat, I spent two years working with local NGOs in small communities in eastern Nepal. My current work focuses on developing program planning, monitoring and reporting systems for the CFS. This has included the development of Tableau-based dashboards and advanced analytics visualizations for the sector.
