Environment Manager
Negotiated and managed the current Alberta Operating Approval Requirements for the site and prepared and submitted the required reports annually to Alberta Environment. Included in this is the requirement for being the point contact in regards to any regulatory issues or visits. Manage the Treatment Plant requirements so that SLS continues to meet Environment Canada's Technical Recommendations and be certified with Wood Preservation Canada. Prepared and submitted Environment Canada required reports for NPRI, Greenhouse Gases and Stats Canada operational reports. Represent Spray Lake Sawmills at Wood Preservation Canada by being on the Steering Committee and with Alberta Forest Products Association by being a member of the Environment Committee. I am a Certified Internal Auditor with Wood Preservation Canada and a Certified Health and Safety Auditor with Alberta Forest Products Association (AFPA) on behalf of Spray Lake Sawmills. Other duties as required are assisting with the management of safety at the site which has included Job Hazard Analysis for all tasks and working as Project Manager for site environmental and safety work projects.
