Extensive Senior and Executive level professional experience which for the last FIFTY years has included all facets of Commercial Liner Vessel Operations, including Container, Forest Products and Gas Carriers, as well as Reefer Vessels, Wood Chip Carriers, Tankers, Bulk Carriers and Passenger Ferries including RO – RO vessels, as well as vessels operating for the Military Sealift Command.Experienced in working with all of the major US sea- going unions as well as successfully operating non – US Flag vessels, with Officers & Crews of many different nationalities.Carried out over 150 Dry Dockings/Repairs/Conversions & Modifications in Shipyards all over the World and developed Repair Contracts with major shipyards in China, Singapore, Arabian Gulf, Europe and the United Kingdom.Accountable for promulgating CAPEX, OPEX, and Dry-dock/Repair Budgets, Operational Procedures, Environmental Compliance and addressing Vessel Security issues/concerns.Successfully completed the Cold Ironing design/installation & implementation of the C11 Class vessels which were some of the first Liner Vessels to achieve “Cold Ironing” in California.BGC
