As a technician, I work with a team to asses and begin repair and restoration of any damage to homes or businesses caused by fire, water, mold, biohazard or storm damage. Special skills include performing preconstruction tasks, detailed contents handling and documentation of homeowner and business personal property after a loss to their home or business.

My primary responsibility in this position was caring for 289 acres of prairie, forest and wetlands, and 6 miles of hiking trails. I performed a wide variety of skills, many of them directly related to my art background and education. Examples include painting, professionally painted high-detail dinosaur scale models for exhibit display, logo designs, trail map layout and design, geographical “Time Line” maps and way finding signs. I regularly supervised, directed, and completed projects with large groups of community volunteers. I routinely met with Eagle Scouts that were proposing, designing and completing projects both indoors and outdoors at the museum. I was responsible for proper care, storage and security of all equipment and tools, and purchasing needed items.
