Despite a reduction in Flight Hour Program funding, ensured efficient use of squadron’s approximately $350,000 quarterly budget to achieve 100% readiness qualifications were met for 10 detachments and over 70 aircrew.As an Air Detachment Officer in Charge, led a detachment of 28 personnel during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom which included responsibility for two $30 million dollar helicopters and a $1 million dollar logistics support kit. Additionally, over 80% of my Sailors advanced, 90% were recognized for meritorious service and 90% earned their warfare specialty designation. Responsible for positional qualifications of over 50 aviators in the operation of aircraft systems, basic airmanship, Federal Aviation Administration flight rules, and tactical procedures.

As Det OIC, led a team of pilots, aircrewman and maintainers with two SH-60B Core B aircraft during workups and a 7 month deployment to the Arabian Gulf in support of OIF and OEF onboard the USS TAYLOR (FFG-50).
