During this opportunity, I was exposed to a large variety of beneficial experiences. My main charter was to support the Office of Technology Incubation and Innovation in researching available technologies that could be applied to projects within NASA Glenn. During my time with NASA, I was also given the opportunity to attend events on-site regarding professional development. Lastly, I received experience in the Micro-photolithography Laboratory at NASA Glenn. Here I was taught the process of photolithography and then fabricated a circuit for a continuity testing device. We also created a test circuit for testing the heat resistance of a high-heat capacity inductor.

Youth in this group will explore science, engineering, technology, and mathematics as applied to aerospace vehicles and propulsion systems. The post members explore aeronautics and propulsion concepts by building, testing, and flying models. Past post activities have included designing and testing of high-efficiency wings for aircraft, wind tunnel models, model rockets, and fan jet powered model cars as well as turbojet engine experiments, discussions of current events in aerospace, and GRC facility visits. The post activities are guided by the student’s interests and desires.
