A business transaction and real estate attorney by background, I previously acted as General Counsel at Suntex Marinas (a private REIT) overseeing all legal matters and risk management functions including the cross-departmental coordination of Suntex’s compliance and government entitlement programs. Prior to joining Suntex full-time in January 2022, I spent 6 years leading the outside legal teams in charge of acquisitions, leasing and management for Suntex’s entire portfolio resulting in approximately $2 billion in transaction value. I'm a 20 year attorney specializing in institutional investor representation on acquisition/disposition, leasing and management matters with a particular emphasis on marinas/rv storage businesses and secondary experience in flex-industrial, retail and seniors housing asset classes. As part of my real-estate focused investor representation, I have significant experience in corporate structuring matters and resolving various business disputes, through coordination with trial counsel and regulatory authorities on controversies, workouts and receiverships involving real estate disputes, commercial collections and regulatory matters.
