Managed MS Stores Online end to end P&L with revenue of over $700M and led MS Stores planning and forecast processes with revenues of $1B and expenses of $700M, as well as operating expense controller for Retail Technology Group (RTG).• Drove revenue target setting process for MS Online Stores of $700M and worked with Consumer and Device Sales (CDS) finance to influence and land annual revenue targets with the field sales organization. • Developed and owned Online Stores FY14 Office revenue target model used to guide CDS field in annual revenue budgeting process. • Developed financial content for inclusion in Microsoft Board of Directors strategy discussion as it pertained to MS Stores. • Presented annual revenue forecasts and targets to Stores leadership team with insights on key drivers.• Developed and landed monthly Online P&Ls and reporting package at an A13 level providing insights into key drivers of revenue, product margin and contribution margin performance. • Developed division operating expense controllable cost statement reporting and forecast model.

Managed the Windows & Windows Live Division (WWLD) COGS financial reporting and analysis with an annual budget of $2 billion including support of financial rhythms of close, forecast, restatements and coordination of long range planning, target setting and budgeting across multiple groups.• Developed and produced the WWLD COGS driver model that highlighted key drivers of performance along with insightful commentary included in the quarterly CEO certification reporting. Consistently receive favorable feedback from Corporate CFP&A regarding the quality and consistency of the Windows COGS reporting. • Managed MS Advantage program financials with annual expenses of $700M across three BGs through monthly reporting of results by OEM and BG including detailed analysis of actuals, forecast and budget down to individual OEM and per unit basis. • Owned the long-range plan modeling of Windows App Store COGS which represented a new business model for Windows. • Analyzed and influenced the WWLD operational COGS through the forecasting, long range plan, target setting and budgeting processes. Monitored cost efficacy and drove efficiencies related to operation costs.

Managed the Windows & Windows Live Division (WWLD) end-to-end P&L including financial reporting and analysis related to actuals, budget and forecast. • Produced monthly P&L flash reporting distributed to WWLD president and senior management detailing performance drivers of revenue, COGS and operating expense, gross margin and contribution margin analysis compared to budget, forecast and prior year. • Designed and implemented improved P&L reporting for management. Produced several financial schedules quarterly for the CFO review process and followed-up with Corporate CFP&A team on questions.• Directed $600M in annual GAAP OEM revenue deferral accounting entries and related reporting and forecasting. • Managed BG revenue adjustment reporting and forecasting which included inter-group cross charges and other revenue adjustments.

Supported Microsoft Research Division in addition to four other CTO/Advanced R&D groups with combined expense budgets totaling over $500M and over 1,200 full time head count with locations around the world. Managed the entire operating expense and headcount budgeting and forecasting process end to end, from target setting and planning, through to final approval. Created the financial analysis and modeling related to potential acquisition discussions, including estimating revenues, COGS and operating expenses to support buy versus build decision making.

Supported the MS Research division and the CEOs management cost center in budgeting and operating expense analysis. Built financial and business scorecards and assisted with the quarterly R&D CFO review.
