CurrentResponsible for all areas of Human Resources and Risk Management functions of the country’s 17th largest and fastest growing large City including: employee relations, compensation, benefits, policy development, civil service, risk management and workers’ compensation. Accomplishments/experience: Lowered health plan costs by introducing health concierge services focusing on transparency; carving-out the prescription benefit with a pass-through pharmacy benefit manager (PBM); establishing a near-sight clinic for employees, retirees and dependents; better monitoring of member health and creating a tiered benefit structure that offers health plan members improved benefit levels. Restructured compensation and rewards structure to drive organization’s move to pay for performance. Lead major update of personnel rules and regulations. Restructured workers’ compensation program to provide better quality of care, with improved outcomes, that returns injured employees to work sooner.
