From a young age I have always been fascinated by Science, especially EarthScience. It was to my delight that when I decide to serve my Nation in the UnitedStates Army that I was able to be a Water Treatment Specialist. Little did I knowmy time as a Water Treatment Specialist in the Army would come full circle laterin my life.My time in the Army like most others taught me Leadership, Work Ethic andTeamwork. However, it was in Junior College that I was able to apply the skills Ihad learned in the Civilian world. I was fortunate enough to be a foundingmember and later the first elected President of my college’s Student GovernmentAssociation. I was able to apply my Leadership skills and hone my Work Ethicserving in that role.At my core I have always had to excel at what I do. From the young age of 17 Iwas married and had my first Child. Over the last 14 years and 8 kids later I have alifetime of experience and challenges thrust upon me. It is my family that hasencouraged me and keep pushing me to be who I am. It was this drive thatpushed me to go back to school to finish my bachelor’s degree.I attend the ASU where I was reunited with my passion forWater Treatment. I was able to join the Water Treatment field as a Surface WaterOperator. That is what lead me to pursue and finish my biology degree tofurther advance my career in the Water Field.I look forward to future shared experiences and the hidden thrill that is in WaterTreatment.
