I'm a newly certified EMT that is passionate about the field, and excited to get into EMS. I became interested in EMS after a couple years struggling to pursue a BA in Computer Science at CU Denver and CCD here in Denver. While I've loved computers ever since I was a kid, it turned out that sitting in a box coding for the next 40 years of my life didn't seem very appealing. I did some soul searching, and after doing research into it, I settled on EMS. I am passionate about helping others, and I find everything related to medicine fascinating, so it seemed like a very solid fit. I signed up to take an EMT-B training course with the Denver Health Paramedic School in February of 2020, to start in May of 2020. After only the first two days in class, I could tell I had found my passion in life. The medical science of emergency management and care was absolutely captivating to me, and the stories my instructor told us blew me away. I eventually completed the course and passed the NREMT, and am now searching for jobs in the field.
