I provide aviation-related technical and analytical support to the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) team at the William J Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC), located at the Atlantic City International Airport. My responsibilities include supporting ISA-led Independent Operational Assessments (IOA) for FAA-managed acquisition programs that are developing new systems and capabilities designed to modernize the U.S. National Airspace System. These IOA activities are designed to assess the operational effectiveness, suitability, and safety of Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) equipment and operating procedures prior to nationwide deployment of the system under assessment.

Research task leader for various efforts to analyze current departmental/agency policies and options for improving federal government acquisition program outcomes that involve advanced mission/operating concepts and capability requirements, analysis of alternative solutions to meet departmental/agency needs, technology development and transition, acquisition program cost estimating and budget development, lifecycle product support considerations and costs, program management structures, and program management responsibilities. Member of Special Mission Aviation Group focused on assessing operational capability gaps, requirements, and materiel/non-materiel solutions to develop and enhance the capabilities of military special operations aviation forces, conventional personnel recovery forces, and aviation security force assistance forces.

Provided subject matter expertise, advice, and assistance to the Director of Global Reach Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition) (SAF/AQQ) and supporting government staff tasked to oversee execution of the CV-22B Osprey, UH-1N Replacement, and Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) acquisition programs.

Provided subject matter expertise, advice, and assistance to the Director of Global Reach Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition) (SAF/AQQ) and supporting government staff tasked to oversee execution of the CV-22B Osprey, UH-1N Replacement, Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM), C-27J Spartan, and Afghanistan Medium Airlift acquisition programs. Also supported initial program planning activities for the Light Mobility Aircraft, Common Vertical Lift Support Platform, and Joint Future Theater Lift program initiatives.
