Responsible for the running of refurbishment and environmental upgrade works to the existing building fabric, using the latest technologies in insulation and render. Works were completed for the Dept of Education over the course of the school year in a live environment.

My position involved• responsibility for the delivery of projects on time, within specification and on budget ; • contribution to all drawings, specifications and the programme of work; • transferral of design information from relevant drawings to the field/site and the resolution of problems therein; • ensuring that professional setting out for own trades and sub contractor trades is carried out: • managing staff including leadership and co-ordination of a no. of multi-disciplinary and multi-national direct and sub-contracted staff, including maintaining site diary detailing manpower levels for each sub contractor and keeping accurate notes of all on site activities; • management of plant and materials, monitoring and controlling costs: • attending site meetings with project teams; • ensuring safety and quality of work at all times and that documentation is in order for inspection by health and safety officers, fire officers etc.• liaising with utility companies to cost and organise the supply and integration of electrical, telecoms, sewage and drainage services. Specific projects include the following:

Commenced on construction management trainee programme with Cleary Doyle, positioned as part of the engineering team on a €40 million University construction project. Responsibilities in this role included setting out; levelling, surveying, report writing, programming, eliminating down time with sub-contractors, procurement of all drainage materials. On further projects the level of autonomy, accountability and financial responsibility increased substantially
