Client: Carolinas Healthcare Systems – Mobile Developer (November 2016 – December 2016)Project: MyCarolinas & OneCarolinas (iOS)• Implemented App Catalog repository using rest API to retrieve and display a catalog of Apps.• Updated both apps by transitioning nibs to storyboard.• Fixed layout and constraint issues throughout.• Added Image campaign banner from rest service that segues to a UIWebView when tapped.• Added and fixed pull to refresh controls on several screens.Internal Project: Android IoT App (March 2016 – October 2016)• Created an Android mobile phone application for updating and displaying the real time status of multiple IoT connected nodes that monitor real world events such as light switches, locks, and doors.• App was created from the ground up utilizing Android Material Design best practices• UI was composed of Fragments in a Tab layout along with a SlidingUpPanelLayout library to provide details on a selected node.• Data retrieval consisted of Retrofit and OKHttp to consume a RESTful API hosted on Azure.• Implemented image retrieval and caching using Picasso library• Used Android SharedPreferences to maintain a list of favorite nodes as well as the list of nodes the user subscribed to for notifications• Implemented push notifications with Azure Notification Hub and Google Cloud Messaging, which allows users to subscribe to individual nodes.
