I am degree qualified – BSc (Hons) Construction Economics & Management with over 15 years post graduate experience within the construction industry spanning the UK, Middle East and presently in Ireland, working for many well-known contractors and consultants including Linesight, The Duffy Group, The Dutco Group, Balfour Beatty, KPS and Flynn based in Dublin. Over the course of my professional career to date i have worked on an extensive variety of projects both at pre and post contract stage in a variety of sectors including Commercial, Healthcare, Retail, Recreational, Entertainment, and Residential.I have developed an excellent set of skills within the construction industry encompassing financial management, coordination, tendering, managing teams, collaboration between various professional bodies, BID/value Engineering, Procurement, Planning and more. I am motivated and proactive in my approach with experience managing teams effectively. I have sound leadership ability and an excellent understanding of delivering projects, with a best practice approach to meet clients’ expectations. I have a desirable set of skills and work ethic with numerous years’ experience and would meet many organizational expectations and will strive to contribute towards the overall business objective.

Commercial Manager
I was recruited as Commercial Manager for KPS in September 2012. KPS are an Interior Office Fit Out contractor operating in the Middle East for in excess of 20 years with an annual turnover of over AED 140m in 2014. My role within the company comprised developing and taking responsibility for an entire Commercial Department comprising estimators, procurement officers and Quantity Surveyors to oversee all commercial and contractual activities from project conception through to project close out. In total I had a team of eleven commercial employees working underneath me. In the absence of Project Management & Cost consultants on KPS Design & Build projects I oversaw all Client Contract negotiation and administration duties including all insurance, bonding requirements in addition to the fundamentals of any given Contract. Projects ranged from AED 1 Million to AED 36 million during my tenure with KPS.During my time with KPS I have worked on projects valued in excess of AED 250 Million and over 50,000.00 M2 of high end office fit out works.At senior management level I reported weekly, monthly and annually to a Managing Director and CEO of the company.

After my Graduation from DIT, I commenced employment with Ireland’s largest Quantity Surveying Practice in their Dublin office. During my time there I was solely engaged on the AIB Headquarters expansion project in Ballsbridge Dublin, from Concept stage through to contract signing. I gained invaluable experience in my short time there including preparation of cost-estimates, cost reports and bills of quantities.
