As an Equal Opportunity Specialist with the Office of General Services, I represent OGS a variety of Job Fairs, community events, as well as veteran events to promote opportunities for the New York State Office of General Services. I review personnel actions such as hiring, promotion, and termination to ensure fairness and equity. In addition, I am also the Veteran Liaison for OGS, where I engage with OGS employees who are veterans to promote other employment opportunities within OGS, as well as helping them obtain the benefits that they are entitled to.

· Recruitment and classification· Work with Labor Relations to coordinate Appeal Hearings for unsatisfactory evaluations.· Oversee the administration of VRWS, Part-Time agreements, and discretionary leaves.· Consult with program managers to compile information to prepare and coordinate submission of Employee Health Service examinations· Manage the administration of the Employee Health Service examination process, and the OTETA and Agency-Determined Safety-Sensitive Drug Testing Program.· Assist the New York State Division of Veteran Services with their recruitment and HR needs.· Provide performance evaluation, probation, and domestic violence training of supervisors· Coordinate the content and distribution of agency-specific on-boarding documents/policies· Run reports in excel and access related to workforce analytics and data analysis and tracking of key performance indicators and metrics· Administer the Section 71, 73 Six Month Letters, and Termination process· Veteran Liaison for OGS and OGS employees who are veterans. Discuss employment options and discuss benefits with veterans.· Conduct biweekly onboarding sessions.· Analyze domestic violent reports and determine if the employee is in immediate danger. · College Internship Coordinator for Human Resource Department.· Conduct Supervisor Training on performance evaluations as well as probation reports.· Work with agencies/departments to have employees evaluated by Employee Health Services.
