I have a Safety-First mindset, with over 30 years of evaluated experience, leading primarily large and medium size carriers in the area of Recruiting / Retention / Qualification / Orientation / Independent Contactor / Lease Purchase / Settlement Construction / Contract Construction / Federal Leasing Requirements / Regulatory Requirements, P&L Administration and Fleet Management support initiatives for both Company Drivers and Independent Contractors. Most recently in 2017, I had the privilege of joining two maverick entrepreneurs, who owned BCB Transport with a fleet of approximately 170 trucks who were working under the authority of another carrier. While this company was small, there was a large vision offering me an opportunity to further broaden my leadership skills. Later in December of 2019, I was asked by these maverick owners to set up BCB Transport to transition from a Fleet Operation to an actual standalone Transportation Carrier operating under its own DOT Authority. In April of 2020, with the challenges of Covid-19, BCB Transport became a standalone Carrier of 257 trucks, operating under its own Authority with all the necessary processes, platforms, and support functions in place. Approximately one year later in 2021, I had the privilege as our FMCSA Company Official to update our MC-150 and report approximately 328 trucks operating under our authority. This update represented a 48% growth since joining the company in 2017. While operating under our own Authority with these two maverick owners, BCB Transport continued to run with a Safety-First mindset and the company was always in the green with its DOT Safety scores. Eventually in 2023, this Safety-First culture led to a successful acquisition with a respected two-billion-dollar Carrier.
