Brian Feeley currently serves as an Assistant Vice President for University Advancement at Elon University, where he oversees Gift Planning and Corporate and Foundation Relations. His leadership focuses on driving strategic outcomes that support the university's mission through philanthropy.Brian previously held progressive roles at Elon leading Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving from 2014-2023. During that time, the number of regional chapters and activity grew, boards and councils diversified and strengthened, affinity networks expanded in scope, and communications and alumni recognition programs increased, especially among young alumni. In total, this helped drive the number of alumni volunteers from 200 to 2,000, scaled individual alumni engagements from 2,000 to nearly 7,000 annually, and fostered deeper awareness of philanthropy among its alumni body, advancing annual alumni participation from 16% to a high of 26% in the year proceeding the pandemic. During the pandemic, the team spearheaded innovative digital engagement strategies to foster connections, offering personal and professional support to alumni, while showcasing their global and local impact. As a result, alumni giving and engagement indicators are once again on the rise.Brian recently led the development of a comprehensive strategic plan for alumni engagement and fundraising, and contributed to the successful execution of Elon LEADS, a comprehensive campaign that surpassed its $250 million goal.His leadership extends beyond fundraising. Brian was appointed to Elon’s 2030 Strategic Planning Committee, served on the Mentoring Design Team and Calendar Committee, and was actively involved in initiatives such as the Traditions Council, the Implementation Committee on Elon History and Memory, and the pilot Elon Early Career Institute.Before returning to Elon, Brian spent over a decade at The Washington Center (TWC), a nonprofit higher education organization. As Vice President, he managed partnerships with nearly 400 academic institutions, significantly grew enrollment, and expanded internship placement services.Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and policy studies from Elon University, where he also interned with the U.S. Department of State. He earned his MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Active in his community, Brian served on the Alamance County Board of Education and has volunteered as a firefighter.
