Colleagues describe him as "I worked with Brian at Elmhurst College during the 2006-2007 academic year. As colleagues, Brian and I collaborated in many different aspects of residence life - staff selection, leadership development, on-call/duty response, and general program planning for the residence life department and students. As an RLC, Brian was very dedicated to doing his job well and making sure that his residential area was a safe place for students. He was also very open to sharing ideas with the group and to receiving feedback from his peers. Through my work with Brian, I could tell that judicial affairs/student conduct was an area about which he was very passionate. He seemed to truly thrive in situations where he was able to work with students to address conduct concerns and assess an appropriate response/judicial sanction to transition the experience from a residence hall "write-up" to a true learning experience for the student(s) involved."
