I have acquired nine years of industry experience, mainly through construction documents and construction administration in educational architecture, and I am a determined individual who challenges myself in the realm of design. To me, architecture is about resolving problems and creating solutions in innovative ways to fabricate an idea. I believe my mindset follows this ideology, not only in my architectural career, but my personal lifestyle as well, adapting to new environments when required and having the ability of solving issues in innovative ways. At Massa Multimedia Architecture, I had the opportunity to work on projects from start to finish. From pre-schematic design through construction administration with a minimal amount of oversight. Some of my responsibilities included: communication with the client (NYCSCA), design, generating design presentations, consultant coordination, construction document development, shop drawing review, RFI responses & on-site evaluation.Some of the larger projects I was tasked with while at MMA, were two (2) Universal Pre-K Centers and one (1) 3-K Center. All three projects were fit outs, each with their own set of parameters and community needs. Other projects that I have been involved in while at MMA include entire brick façade renovations, full exterior modifications, structural defect remediation, acoustic barrier implementations, energy upgrades, MEP upgrades, water infiltration remediation, auditorium upgrades, and gymnasium upgrades. With MGA-MMA JV, I was tasked with generating a Revit based template that would help in the process of creating a comfortable collaborating environment between the two firms. This template made it easier to generate construction documents for each project in an efficient and timely manner. I was also tasked with the communication for modeling throughout multiple large-scale Pre-K through 5th Grade Primary Schools (NYCSA). I had the opportunity to manage the Revit models while also managing the layout and clarity of the construction documents, ensuring that all deadlines were met in a timely and efficient manner. Tasks ranged from generating Revit families, implementing custom parameters, developing architectural detailing, collaborating with team members to ensure precision within the Revit model, and ensuring client’s expectations were met through the execution of the construction documents.
