About Brian Hendrix

Brian Hendrix is a Dir. Product Management at Fidelity Investments. He possess expertise in agile methodologies, project management, scrum, e commerce, software project management and 24 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I had the privilege of working with Brian for over 3 years at KnowledgeTree / SAVO / Seismic as both a peer and as one of his direct reports. In that time we developed a strong working relationship through frequent collaboration and I got to know him very well. Brian is a charismatic, natural leader that genuinely cares about people and their growth. He has an insatiable curiosity and is always looking to learn new things concerning business, technology, science, and art. Best of all, he is a good person and enjoyable to be around. Brian started at KnowledgeTree as a QA Engineer and it was obvious from his very first interview that he had a great deal of potential to make a notable positive impact in his role, on his team, and organization-wide. This quickly proved to be the case and he exceeded the lofty expectations set for him. Brian demonstrated capability far beyond his initial role and he soon took on a Product Owner role in addition to his QA responsibilities. Once again, Brian's performance was exemplary yet he still showed a capacity to make an even bigger impact so, less that one year from the day he started at KnowledgeTree, he was promoted to Director of Engineering while still retaining his Product Owner role. This was an especially difficult challenge because it involved transitioning from peer to manager of his former team members which Brian handled deftly with his typical aplomb and grace. Over the next 10 months Brian grew the team and lead us through several successful projects that expanded the reach of our product. Then followed a turbulent year in which KnowledgeTree was acquired by SAVO which was in turn acquired by Seismic. During this time most of the KnowledgeTree employees left; however, Brian held the engineering team together, kept us motivated and engaged, and skillfully guided us through a very tempestuous period. If given the opportunity, I would gladly work with Brian again. Any organization that convinces Brian to join will be fortunate to have him. Brian's unique combination of friendliness, charm, intelligence, diligence, enthusiasm, and inquisitiveness enables him to bring remarkable value to any endeavor he pursues.", "Brian started at Sequoia as an entry level customer support representative, but quickly advanced within the organization through his demonstration of strong problem-solving abilities, acute attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine thirst for knowledge. Within a short period of time, and with no prior experience, Brian moved into a Project Manager role where he successfully coordinated the efforts of the team that developed many of Sequoia’s industry leading solutions for the higher education marketplace. For the remaining time that Brian worked at Sequoia, he served as Product Manager for the QuadPoint product line which ultimately became the company’s most successful and profitable component of its portfolio and was a key reason why Blackboard acquired the company in 2016. Not only was Brian a key contributor within Sequoia, he was well respected by clients and colleagues across the nation. Often requested to speak at industry conferences, Brian’s outstanding public speaking skills and enthusiastic delivery ensured a captive audience and excellent reviews. To this day, clients and colleagues remark at how much they learned from his presentations. I have always been impressed with Brian’s dedication to getting the job done and his ability to perform under pressure. He is an extremely valuable asset to any organization lucky enough to have him on their team.", and "Brian joined KnowledgeTree as a QA engineer and from day 1 delivered impact across the organization that far outstripped his formal title. His low ego and eagerness to learn—coupled with innate leadership skills and a team-first attitude—quickly made his desk a magnet for employees at all levels across all departments. In less than a year, Brian was promoted to Director of Engineering and served as my closest ally and co-conspirator in shaping product strategy. He took a fairly seasoned but small product engineering team to the next level, helping them punch above their weight and out-execute much larger and better funded competitors in a cluttered market space. Under his guidance, KT built award-winning products and established a culture of technical excellence and rapid innovation that played a large part in the company’s eventual acquisition by a dominant player in our space. Brian embraces a “no task too small, no mission too large” approach, enabling him to navigate and contribute at multiple altitudes in a fast-paced startup environment. It was a privilege to work beside him at KnowledgeTree, where he was that rare but insanely valuable combination of humble servant leader and true force multiplier."

Listed skills include Agile Methodologies, Project Management, Scrum, E Commerce, and 25 others.
