Since becoming an independent attorney, I have continued with my labor and employment practice. I have had significant success in representing plaintiffs in this role. Additionally, I have continued my practice of representing employers in matters such as enforcing non-compete agreements, defending against charges of discrimination, drafting employee handbooks and other labor matters. Additionally, I have expanded my practice to include drafting wills, litigating collection matters, and representing clients in residential real estate matters. As an associate at Seyfarth Shaw, I performed most aspects concerning labor and employment law. I was involved in several class action cases involving EEO matters, FLSA matters, and ERISA matters in federal court. I also handled single complainant/single plaintiff litigation before the EEOC, the IDHR, the IHRC, and other regulatory bodies (as well as state and federal courts). Additionally, I was involved in matters before the NLRB and the Illinois Labor Boards. This experience provided me with a strong litigation background.
