 Developed a Microsoft SharePoint 2010 application that seamlessly integrated Google Maps (API 2/3) with SP List’s. Used ASP.NET, C#, CSS, HTML and tied it all together with JavaScript / AJAX. Used JavaScript extensively because it was the most reliable language I found to work with the Microsoft SharePoint beast. After multiple tests with other languages I decided to go with JavaScript because it is portable and very secure within the .NET Framework of a SharePoint ASPX page. Also utilized XSL for some styling, looping and CDATA tags. Built the system to run stand-alone from proprietary Map “Web Parts”. The previous application wasunreliable. Built an application that was extremely reliable, scalable and flexible. Tied in multiple Lookuptables/Lists for scalable and easily maintainable configuration of the application using SP Lists. Currently being used in a secure, high-availability Government facility to track military issues. One major problem I had to overcome was building this to work without internet availability for thefinal product. It was engineered by working remotely to access development servers and data through a3rd party which kept connections secure. Played a crucial piece in saving half a million dollar project. Project was completed ahead of time and under budget. Completed technical documentation of Lists, Code and configuration of the entire application.Documentation was needed for the system to be built from the ground up at the top-secret location. The development server had over 600 versions in the Version History. My contract was 3 months. Used Firefox for debugging, quality control and testing.
