CurrentBrian J. Brille joined Caris Life Sciences in January of 2018 as Vice Chairman of the Company. Mr. Brille currently provides executive leadership for strategic, corporate and business development activities. He is also a member of the Board of Directors.Highly active in capital-raising (raised ~$1.3 billion in external financing since 2018), investor relations and other corporate development activities. Notable deals include:1) Raised $830 million in growth equity capital at a post-money valuation of $7.83 billion in May 2021.With this investment, Caris has raised approximately $1.3 billion in external financing since 2018. This financing represents one of the largest capital raises in precision medicine and includes a diverse syndicate of leading investors.The round was led by Sixth Street, a leading global investment firm making its third investment in Caris since 2018. T. Rowe Price, Silver Lake, Fidelity and Coatue were significant participants in the round. Additional investors included Columbia Threadneedle, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Millennium, Neuberger Berman, Highland Capital, Rock Springs Capital, OrbiMed, ClearBridge, Tudor Investment, Eaton Vance, Pura Vida and First Light Asset Management.2) Raised $310 million in growth capital from a broad syndicate of leading investors in October 2020.The financing included $235 million in equity financing co-led by Highland Capital and Coatue, with participation from T. Rowe Price, OrbiMed, Millennium, Neuberger Berman, ClearBridge, First Light Asset Management and others. The Company also raised $75 million in debt from Sixth Street as an extension to the $150 million in structured debt financing Sixth Street invested in September 2018. Sixth Street also participated in the equity round.3) Raised $150 million in growth capital from TPG Sixth Street Partners in October 2018.
