Responsible for operational water resources management in the Inkomati and Usuthu catchments. Implemented a pioneering real time operational water resources decision making framework based on the integration of data, models, governance/Institutions and stakeholder centred consensus driven decision making in the Crocodile and Sabie Rivers. This also included the real time implementation of the ecological water requirements.Responsible for all GIS and river operations data (water resources information management database) including real time data in support of operational models.Responsible for the Water Authorisation and Registration Management System (WARMS) at the IUCMA.Responsible for the verification of the extent of all existing lawful water use.Represented the IUCMA on relevant trans boundary water management committees.Reference group member for several Water Research Commission Projects.Co-developed a remote sensing based application in HydroNET to improve the water use estimation of land based activities.
