Ford Motor Company-Field Technical Specialist-Training Instructor from 1998 to 2008

Retiring January 31st. Responsible for development of faculty schedules in Automotive, Collision, and Diesel. Student advisor. Instructor in all areas of Automotive, and develop curriculum for academic and technical courses in all three programs. Coordinate schedules for continuing education, and contract training. Responsible for purchasing and maintaining supplies and equipment for Automotive, Collision, and Diesel programs. Maintain and install new equipment or generate work orders to do so. Plan and lead Advisory board meetings for three programs. Organize and participate in Blackboard training for faculty. Set up meetings with Industry partners and organize recruiting visits to area high schools and job fairs. Research bids for grant purchase items and coordinate purchases and installation of equipment from grants. Participate in grant curricular changes and program studies with faculty and grant personnel. Responsible for hiring new faculty and staff and participate on search committees for other departments. Oversee, as budget officer, budgets for three programs. Review student academic evaluations and administer course substitutions or "test-outs" for degree or certificate completions.

Electrical repairs, engine and transmission, wind noise and water leaks, heating and air conditioning, brakes and suspension, and everything else on the ticket.

Responsibilities included repair on trucks, tractors, welders, and various construction equipment. Inventoried and purchased supplies and equipment for several job sites.
