This specializes in support to the British MoD Surface Fleet by way of safety and risk management.The RN has given be an excellent baseline for going forward. I now specialise in the safety and technical aspects of Surface Ships within the Defence domain. Although an engineer through career my interests have filtered off to specializing in the health and safety environ also incorporating quality processes and the environment.Professionally qualified & multi-disciplined with wide ranging practical & administrative skills in the theory, operation, maintenance & diagnostic repair practices of marine propulsion systems including auxiliary & ancillary support systems. A dedicated & loyal team member where excellent interpersonal, communicative and organisational skills at all levels have been utilised for training & development of efficient team members in addition to carrying out complex tasks successfully under arduous & time critical conditions.A proven successful team leader and organisation manager, achieving & maintaining the highest level of effective service for the Royal NavySkilled communicator with strong interpersonal skills liaising competently with internal and external agencies and contractors.Provide high standard of administrative competency via report writing, appraisal of performance & editing of organisation documentation. PC literate with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs including advanced numeracy, accuracy & methodical approach to administrative tasks.Organisation & prioritisation of workload including the ability to plan & allocate tasks as appropriate to ensure success. Thorough technical knowledge enabling effective feedback to be given, coupled with ability to coach, mentor and motivate individuals and set exemplary example for subordinates to follow.

The IMS ensured that Health and Safety (HSE/ROSPA), Environment (EARA) and Quality (ISO9000/DNV) where managed as a cohesive operation and the applicable standards were utilised & maintained.As a Unit Champion, ensured that the principles, processes and practices of Inclusion, Equality & Diversity are embedded within all aspects of unit/organisational business, with particular emphasis on ensuring a proactive and positive contribution to the Leadership challenge of eradicating all forms of bullying and harassment. Career has involved a number of training courses and opportunities for career development and improvement. Trained, coached and mentored junior engineers, producing quality annual appraisal reports to facilitate continual improvement to the organisation.
