Respond to emergency dispatch for 911 related emergencies including Fires, Haz Mat, Medical and Rescue. On call 24/7 in the community, and training weekly in specialized skills. Drive and pump fire apparatus to and from emergency calls, as well as maintaining apparatus and equipment.

Lead project manager and in house industrial design specialist to facilitate the building and design for the Kex Hotel, I worked under Halfdan Petersen and the Kex team as well as R&H construction and Green Light Developers to use antique salvaged materials and furniture in the creation of a hostel type boutique hotel out of a historical apartment building in downtown Portland. I designed furniture, problem solved interior and architectural design goals and implemented novel techniques to achieve group design goals as well as individual stakeholder holders. I facilitated the concept design, ideation, prototyoing and fabrication of dozens of complex projects from wall displays, retrofitting salvaged materials into bars and reception centers, designing the bunk beds, and restoring antiques to meet health and safety standards for commercial hospitality and historic regulations. I ran a large warehouse where I designed, built and restored all materials for the interior designs en construction teams, hosted meetings and courted vendors. My goals were bringing the creative teams concepts into real material products while educating international experts on local regulations. I also facilitated good relations between the three main groups as well as dozens of subcontractors, smoothing over cultural differences and facilitating good communication and a vibrant creative atmosphere.

I install, service and retro fit all manner of residential plumbing, including appliances, potable water systems, sewage systems, and gas utility systems to California Plumbing Code standards. I supervise employees during large scale construction and/or residential jobs to accomplish objectives in a timely and professional manner. I collaborate with home owners and General Contractors to figure out the best way to accomplish the requirements of building plans. I train employees in all aspects of residential plumbing techniques, skills and tools, including requirements of California Plumbing Code, pipe welding, pipe fitting, physics of drainage and ventilation systems, as well as Safe Work practices.

Design, build, and repair custom leather equipment for fire personnel using natural top grade leather and a wide variety of hand tools. Collaborate with customers to create new designs as well as retro fitting and refurbishing antique pieces for use in the fire service.

Oversee fitness facilities as well as training in and supervising the use of specialized fitness equipment such as Vasper Systems. Research and report on prospective equipment or product acquisition, and present during meetings using various media. Reformatting records to comply to a paperless work environment. Service, and repair specialized facility equipment such as exercise equipment, building components, and medical grade devices used in acupuncture, chiropractics and massage therapy. Stand in as an instructor to lead classes in yoga and physical training.

Manage employees and pool facilities during working hours. arrange scheduling and oversee safety inspections of pool equipment and facilities. Perform emergencies including rescues and medical emergencies as well as emergency chemical sanitization of facilities. Deal with public relations including communication of pool rules and regulations, patron comments and concerns, and accept payments for pool memberships.

Taught swim technique for competitive, recreational and fitness level students ranging from 18 months to 80+ years of age. Taught triathlete level open water swimming and water polo skills.

Instructed students in swim technique and sportsmanship. Attended coaches meetings, set up and helped run swim meets.
