The first of many was the building of an arcade game and pool table business while still at Rhodes University. This business paid for my education and my first property. My 25 years in advertising, 10 of which were spent at Ogilvy Africa building an award-winning network of 42 agencies, 7 years at the helm of Mojanation and more recently as Commercial Director of PMG (Provantage Media Group) International have taught me the operational intricacies of leading through collaboration and example rather than the ‘dictatorship’ style for which South Africans are often known for. My years of building multinational business and forging relationships with brands like SAB (AB Inbev), BAT, BP, Nestle, Coca-Cola, VISA, Standard Bank, Mondelez, KFC, Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Standard Bank, UnionPay, Mnet and SuperSport have given me privileged insight and exposure to what makes an agency and network, work. I am a highly skilled networker who has developed a wide circle of some of the best people in the marketing, advertising, and media industries across the world. These are individuals who I can call on for advice and assistance in developing new business or for market knowledge and intel.I get brands, I get ideas and I get what is needed to sell for a profit. Most recently, I have led the digital growth strategy and implementation for PMG International across the continent of Africa. I’m passionate about data and the opportunities it presents.
