Recent Projects:Lesotho Water Security and Climate Change Assessment• Conducted a national water resources and climate change assessment for Lesotho on behalf of the World Bank.• Assessed national water supplies and demands and identified workable strategies to improve livelihoods for the people of Lesotho.• Made recommendations to the government of Lesotho that allowed them to drastically enhance water security with minimal impact on water exports to South Africa.Enhancing Climate Resilience of Africa's Infrastructure• Collaborated within an interdisciplinary team focused on enhancing climate resilience of African infrastructure as it pertains to hydropower and irrigation development.• Oversaw a research team charged with developing climate-driven water resources models for seven major river basins in Africa (Congo, Niger, Nile, Orange, Senegal, Volta, Zambezi).Participatory Planning for Improved Water Use Efficiency in River Basins• Managed a USAID project on participatory water management in river basins in Morocco, Tunisia and Jordan• Supervised researchers tasked with developing decision support tools for water management of these river basins• Co-facilitated participatory stakeholder workshops in each of the countries to identify potential water management strategies that were subsequently assessed with the support tools.
