My primary duty is to design, maintain, and optimize resilient power systems to support data centers and network operations at GVA. This involves the management of the entire lifecycle for power infrastructure projects, right from the initial design and installation through ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. My strict attention to detail ensures that all the equipment installed and run are per technical specification and industry standards. I proactively take part in routine maintenance activities, identifying and eradicating problems that can lead to power cuts, hence upholding the reliability of the system. In addition, my strategic ability to manage projects makes me efficient in resources, budgets, and time, hence expediting the project while observing the goals of sustainability and saving on costs. My expertise also includes technical support to immediately resolve the issues that are impacting network performance related to power, using performance data analysis to drive continuous improvement. My task as an Infrastructure Engineer is critical in safeguarding the integrity and efficiency of critical infrastructure at GVA.

I oversaw the planning, design, and implementation of electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations. I managed project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects were completed within specified constraints. This involved preparing feasibility studies and providing technical expertise to support project proposals and decision-making processes. In my role as technical support, I oversaw the project management of L.V and M.V power line and substation construction, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion. I also took charge of quality assurance programs, conducting on-site evaluations, internal audits, and customer surveys to maintain high standards of service delivery. Working closely with customers, I diligently gathered and understood their requirements, providing exemplary service and addressing any concerns promptly. Additionally, I supplied and serviced generator sets as essential power backup for base transmission sites in the Kampala 1 region, ensuring readiness for any power disruptions. I performed preventative and reparative maintenance on power supplies at the base transmission sites, recording all actions meticulously in site logbooks. Furthermore, I prepared relevant documentation in adherence to safety management systems, prioritizing the well-being of personnel and equipment. To optimize maintenance costs and efficiency, I conducted power audits for base transmission sites, implementing improvements where necessary to enhance operational sustainability and reliability.

As a Project Trainee, I was actively involved in various aspects of project management and operations within MTN Uganda. I participated in promotional activities and sales initiatives for MTN Uganda products, contributing to customer engagement and market expansion efforts. Additionally, I played a key role in maintaining and managing over 200 MTN Uganda foot-stand phone booths, ensuring their operational efficiency and availability to users. I was responsible for implementing new phone booths around the capital city, strategically expanding coverage and accessibility for customers. When issues arose, I conducted failure investigations and problem-solving sessions to swiftly address any technical or operational challenges with the phone booths. Coordinating spare part needs and ensuring proper care for phone booth operators were also integral parts of my responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, I actively identified potential commercial zones for coverage expansion, providing valuable insights for business growth and market penetration strategies.

I was a key member of the electrical team working on the Total E&P project at Course View Towers. My responsibilities included fitting high voltage panels, ensuring all safety measures were meticulously followed to maintain a secure working environment. I installed various electronic equipment and bus bar wiring, guaranteeing precise and reliable connections.
